Introducing Messenger scenes
This Windows Live Editor wonders whether you have 'scene' this brilliant new Messenger feature?

Personalisation options have been trebled in the new Windows Live Messenger, so you don't have any excuse not to make Messenger exclusively yours.
Add a fun new profile picture, change the colour and design of the conversation window, let people know what music you’re listening to, or add a personal message that appears next to your name whenever you’re online.
One of the snazziest upgrades to Messenger's arsenal is Scenes. A scene is effectively a skin that wraps around your Messenger window and transforms the look and feel, think of it like a comfortable blanket!
On first run of Windows Live Messenger you will be greeted by the default (this scene is featured as standard) but should you fancy a change why not opt for one of the thirty additional featured scenes!
Changing your scene is very easy. To change your scene:

Hover your mouse to the far right of your header bar (see above), if positioned correctly a paint-brush will mysteriously appear.

The scenes are greyed out, so to unlock them click 'Choose a scene from the list below'.
Highlight the scene of your choice and select 'Apply' to apply this change to your contact list. Leave this menu via the 'OK' option.
Further customisation can be achieved by changing the Messenger window colour options.
The stylish among you will plump for a truly colour co-ordinated look.
Be wary of the red cross as hitting this will delete the currently selected scene.
Should you want more scenes, you can always upload your own images and transform Messenger to your choosing. To enable custom scenes click the 'Browse' button underneath the scenes selection area.
That's all there is too it! One point to note: the people you chat with will see the same scene and colour you choose.
Handy hint: If struggling the scenes menu can be found by selecting the 'Tools' menu, 'Change your scene'.
